Likewise, all the posts, pages, or comments are backed up in .xml files. That means that Blogger's theme and other content backups are in two different ways. Let's see how fast we can back up the whole blogger blog.

How to Backup Blogger Themes?

To understand the whole thing, I'm mentioning step by step. Hopefully, if you don't know before, once you see it, and you'll never forget this. Because Blogger is so simple and easy.

  1. First, select your Blog.
  2. Then click on Themes.
  3. Then click on the "Backup/Restore" button in the upper right corner.
  4. Then click on "Download Theme" button, you'll see your desired .xml theme file. This .xml file is the theme file that you can save.
Note: Make sure to back up after any change in the theme. This is because, if you make a mistake, you can restore it to the previous state. One more thing, to quickly understand your latest saved theme files, you can save with the number at the beginning of the theme .xml. (01.yourblogname.xml)

How to Restore Blogger Themes?

The same thing as restoring the blogger theme is similar to a backup. That is, the first three steps are the same.

  2. Then click on Themes.
  3. Then click on the "Backup/Restore" button in the upper right corner.
  4. Then click on the "Choose File" button and find the last saved theme file.
  5. After selecting the file, click on the "Upload" button and upload it.
Here's one thing to remember, if you upload any other theme to this blog you will see some additional functions. That means, try to use the same theme in a blog. If necessary, open a new free blog for the new theme.

How To Backup Blogger Blog Content?

  1. First, Select Your Blog.
  2. Then click on Setting.
  3. After clicking on Setting, you'll see a few more new menus, where you'll see a menu named Other. Click on that Other menu.
  4. Then, after clicking on the Other > menu, you can see the content of "Backup Content" on the top of the new page.
  5. Now after clicking on "Backup Content" > and "Save To Your Computer" button, you will see a new window open for saving .xml file. This is the .xml file for all your content (pages, posts & comments).

How To Restore Blogger Blog Content?

Hopefully, if you understand how you backed up Blogger blogs content, then in Step 4, notice that there is an "Import Content" button next to "Backup Content" Here, you need to click on the "Import Content" button and upload the content type ".xml" file.

In short, your direction will be: Blogger Dashboard > Setting > Other > Import Content >

After that click on the "Post" menu, you will see your desired posts are uploaded.

Here You Need to Know:
  • Hope you know, which blog's content backup you're going to upload!. That means: It's not like that you're uploading the content backups of your blog again. If this is the case, you can see all the posts twice.
  • Through this process, you can import a backup file of your WordPress Blog Content as well.

At The End of All

I hope the ideas on how to back up your blog theme and content, etc. have become more comfortable. If not, try again the second time, of course.
